Katlego Otladisa’s agent sheds light on Arrows links
Orlando Pirates attacker Katlego Otladisa’s agent, Nimrod Mbhalati, has provided an update on the recent speculation linking his client to a potential loan move to Golden Arrows.
With the PSL transfer window set to close at midnight on Friday, September 20, 2024, there is still a possibility of some surprise player moves. One player whose future remains uncertain is Pirates attacker Otladisa.
In recent days, rumours have circulated that Otladisa could be loaned to Betway Premiership side Arrows to gain more playing time.
The 27-year-old joined Pirates in July 2023 on a long-term deal after the relegation of his former club, Marumo Gallants, who have since returned to the SA top-flight by purchasing Moroka Swallows’ status.
The former Platinum Stars, Cape Umoya United, Ajax Cape Town, Orbit College and Mamelodi Sundowns winger only played 12 matches across all competitions for The Buccaneers in the last term.
Otladisa’s lack of game time at Pirates raised concerns for many, asking why he isn’t playing following his stellar displays at Bahlabane ba Ntwa before joining the ‘Happy People’.
KATLEGO OTLADISA’S AGENT ON GOLDEN ARROWS RUMOURS
Mbhalati has clarified the reports linking his client to the KwaZulu-Natal outfit, citing that it is just “rumours.”
“I think those are just rumours for now, my brother, because I spoke with Mr Mpumi Khoza [of Pirates], and he hasn’t mentioned or discussed such with me,” Mbhalati from Nida Sports agency told FARPost.
“I get a lot of calls from people, including Katlego’s family, wanting to know what’s really happening.
“But we still have hours left to the transfer window deadline. I mean, football is a funny game; anything can still happen.”
In the current campaign, Otladisa is yet to make an appearance for the Soweto, with the club having participated in the MTN8, CAF Champions and the Betway Premiership.
As the transfer deadline approaches, it remains to be seen whether Otladisa will remain at Pirates or if he will secure a loan move to Arrows or another club.
