Oswin Appollis likely to remain at Polokwane City, confirms his agent
Oswin Appollis’ agent, Lance Davids, has confirmed that the Bafana Bafana international will likely remain at Polokwane City FC despite interest from several clubs.
Appollis’ notable absentee for ‘The Rise and Shine’ last weekend during the Limpopo club’s 2-1 win over AmaZulu FC in a Betway Premiership tie at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane fuelled the rumours that he might be leaving the side before the PSL transfer window closes.
However, PLK City coach Phuti Mohafe stated that the team succumbed to a decision to rest Appollis as he had just returned from national duty. Hence, he missed their game against Usuthu.
The talented midfielder continues to shine in the new season, having scored a brace for Bafana when they defeated South Sudan 3-2 on their own turf in a 2025 AFCON qualifier encounter a week ago.
In recent weeks, the 23-year-old has been linked to several teams in South Africa and abroad. Some of the teams Appollis has been linked with in Mzansi include the two Soweto giants, Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates. The ex-SuperSport United man was also reportedly set to join Algerian side, USM Alger.

Davids put it on record that his client is still at the ‘Orange Army’, with the PSL transfer window set to close at midnight.
“I have seen your requests for an update on Oswin Appollis, given the interest shown by several clubs,” Davids wrote on his official X account [previously known as Twitter].
“As things stand, there is none – he remains contracted to Polokwane City.
“Any movements, you will be the first to know.”
In the current campaign, Appollis has made one appearance for the Limpopo club, which came during the MTN8 quarter-final clash with Mamelodi Sundowns last month.
Last season, he played 31 games across all competitions for PLK City and contributed seven goals and five assists.
