AmaTuks drop points, Baroka claim second successive win
AmaTuks dropped points after playing to a goalless against Upington City FC in matchday four of the Motsepe Foundation Championship at the Mxolisi Dicky Jacobs Stadium on Saturday.
The Pretoria-based side came into the clash against Upington looking to bounce back from their 1-0 defeat against Pretoria Callies in the Tshwane Derby last weekend.
AmaTuks have had an inconsistent start to the new season as they sit eighth on the log standings with five points after four matches.
Elsewhere, Baroka FC claimed two successive wins after defeating Kruger United 1-0 at Global Stadium on Saturday with a goal by Khomotjo Lekoloane.
Before beating Kruger United, Bakgakga brushed aside Hungry Lions FC with a 1-0 scoreline at Suzuki Stadium in Northern Cape last weekend.
The Limpopo-based side has seemingly turned the corner since parting ways with head coach Morgan Mammila after just two games into the 2024/25 season.
CASRIC STARS COLLECT MAXIMUM POINTS WITH AN IMPRESSIVE WIN AGAINST JDR STARS
Meanwhile, Casric Stars collected maximum points after beating JDR Stars 2-0 at Soshanguve Giant Stadium on Saturday.
Casric have won three matches and suffered only one defeat in four matches in the Championship. The Mpumalanga-based side is sitting top of the table with nine points.
On Friday, Durban City FC were held to a 1-1 draw by Highbury FC at Chartswoth Stadium. Highbury are new in the NFD after gaining promotion from the ABC Motsepe League at the start of the 2024/25 season.
