Seema provides insight into Sipho Mbule’s first days at Sekhukhune

Sekhukhune United coach Lehlohonolo Seema has provided insight into the club’s latest acquisition, Sipho Mbule, and his first days at the camp.

Mbule joined Babina Noko on a season-long loan from Mamelodi Sundowns on the last day of the PSL transfer window period. The transfer window closed last Friday, 20 September 2024.

Last season, ‘MasterChef,’ as he is affectionately known, played 22 games across all competitions for Bafana Ba Style and contributed one goal in the process.

The player has already hit the ground running at his new club and is training hard to earn his debut in Sekhukhune colours.

LEHLOHONOLO SEEMA ON SIPHO MBULE’S ADAPTATIONS AT SEKHUKHUNE UNITED

During the club’s open media day in Polokwane, Seema shared his views on the progress of his new recruits at the club.

“The good thing about the players that are here is that they started earlier in terms of CAF competition. Our latest acquisition, ‘MasterChef,’ has been training very hard. The good thing about our league is that players are friendly and know each other,” said Seema.

“You find that even socially, outside of football, they have played these social games together. So, I think it has been very easy for him to adapt and feel at home immediately.

“I was even surprised to see him walking with a guy from another country. I must also say that the two weeks we have spent here in Polokwane have helped us a lot in terms of relationships and understanding each other.”

SEEMA ON WHETHER SIPHO MBULE WILL MAKE HIS FIRST APPEARANCE SOON

When asked if Mbule was close to making his debut for the club, Seema said: “So, in terms of Mbule getting closer to playing a match, he knows that he didn’t find a team without players. We have a lot of midfielders, and he still has to work hard to make sure that he gets his chance.”

“But the good thing is he has been training where he is coming from, and they did pre-season. So, what I can say is that he is not far at all [from making his debut].

“It is a work in progress, and we are trying to make sure that he understands the way we are playing here at Sekhukhune, and it’s promising.”
