Gaston Sirino’s fiery message to Chiefs teammates

Kaizer Chiefs’ new signing, Gaston Sirino, is already making a strong impression at Naturena, not just with his on-field performances but also with his winning mentality.

A teammate has revealed that Sirino’s attitude and determination have been a breath of fresh air in the dressing room, setting a high standard for his teammates.

The Uruguayan playmaker, who joined Chiefs from Mamelodi Sundowns, reportedly made a bold statement during a recent team meeting.

When asked about the upcoming clash against his former club, Sirino is said to have declared that if, as players, they genuinely aspire to win trophies, they must prove themselves by winning these crucial matches against top opponents like his former club.

“Gaston’s mentality is really proving to be elite,” said a teammate. “He has a winning mindset. And he’s not afraid to express it. He’s brought a new level of confidence and focus to the team.”

The teammate added that Sirino’s desire to win is evident in his every action, both on and off the pitch. He has quickly integrated into the team. It is also said that he is eager to play a key role in the rebuild at Chiefs. His experience and success with Sundowns, where he won numerous titles, have given him a valuable perspective on what it takes to be a champion.

This positive influence comes at a crucial time for Amakhosi, who are looking to rebuild after several seasons of underachievement. Sirino’s arrival, along with other new signings and the appointment of coach Nasreddine Nabi, has injected renewed optimism into the club.

NASREDDINE NABI ON GASTON SIRINO’S WINNING MENTALITY

In Thursday’s press conference, the Tunisian mentor told journalists that the talented attacker’s winning mentality will be key in the Betway Premiership clash against the Brazilians. The match is set for FNB Stadium at 3PM.

Nabi is counting on the 33-year-old to replicate his impressive performance against AmaZulu FC. Sirino already has a goal and two assists in just two appearances for Amakhosi.

“Sirino is a great footballer. And he’s going to do the same as he did in the first two matches we’ve played. So he’s going to give the best of himself,” said Nabi.

“He has a winning mentality. And this is what he’s going to do. He knows how to behave in competition. And we know that he’s going to show what he can do.”
