In a interview with FARPost, Musona opened up on being linked to the Soweto giants. Musona previously played for Polokwane City FC and Sekhukhune United in the PSL.

“Of course there is someone who contacted my current club owner [Simba Ndoro]. He never really contacted me directly or my management.

“And for a moment, the club owner thought I was planning to leave. He asked me several times. It would have been hard to resist but I eventually stayed.

“But that individual never really contacted me directly or my management. Kaizer Chiefs is a big team. But right now, I am committed to the job at hand at Simba Bhora,” Musona told FARPost.

Meanwhile Kaizer Chiefs are on a hunt for a striker for the second half of the 2024-25 season.

Though they bolstered their attack with experienced attacker Gaston Sirino, coach Nasreddine Nabi is still hunting for a striker.

Ranga Chivaviro has been Chiefs’ mainstay upfront. He has grown significantly since Nabi’s arrival after a strong pre-season as he scored in the 3-1 win over AmaZulu FC.

He added another goal in the 2-1 loss to Mamelodi Sundowns. In addition, Nabi remains hopeful that the striker will elevate his game but insists they need another back up forward.

They missed out on signing Khanyisa Mayo from Cape Town City FC. Mayo went onto join CR Belouizdad in Algeria.

Attempts to bring Pyramids FC’s Fiston Mayele hit a snag but it appears they are yet to give up as the search for lethal striker continues.
