Bafana Bafana and Leeds United legend Lucas Radebe is set to headline the SA legends who will take on their Moletjie counterparts as part of the Kgoshi Kgabo Moloto III birthday celebrations. The match was confirmed on Thursday afternoon during the official launch of the Kgoshi Kgabo Moloto III Cup at the royal house in Moletjie outside Polokwane.
The event was attended by among others former Orlando Pirates winger Tlou Segolela, former Polokwane City defender Thabiso Semenya and former Mamelodi Sundowns left-back Elias Ngwepe.
The top 8 tournament will start on Saturday, 2023 November with the Final on Saturday, 30 November. The curtain raiser match which will feature the squad will take place on Saturday. The birthday celebrations also include a Marathon and a fundraising gala dinner.

“We have legends like Segolela, Semenya, and Ngwepe, who will be captain legends from Moletjie. They will play against Lucas Radebe’s team, the likes of Doctor Khumalo, Edward Motale and others,” CEO Letladi Moloto told FARPost. “This will be a curtain raiser before the final match of Kgoshi Kgabo III.”

“The Chief decided not to accept any gift or any present for his birthday. He said he wants people to donate any amount or anything for his birthday towards the education programme in order to educate a child from Moletjie,” explained Moloto.
“So the purpose of today was to launch these events. The main goal is to raise money for the children here to help them with their education.”
“Teams from the main tournament will comprise winners from local tournaments organized by the likes of Semenya. Segolela and others.” All the activities will take place at the Moletjie soccer field.
