PSL confirm dates and venues for Carling Knockout Cup Last 16

The Premier Soccer League (PSL) have announced the dates and venues for the Last 16 fixtures of the 2024 Carling Knockout Cup.

In a statement released this week, the PSL confirmed that the second edition of the Carling Cup will take place from October 18th to 20th, 2024.

The tournament will feature exciting clashes between some of the top teams in South African football as they battle it out for the Carling Knockout Cup trophy with Stellenbosch FC, the defending champions.

In the previous season, the inaugural competition was won by Stellenbosch FC after they beat TS Galaxy 5-4 on penalties in the final.

Stellenbosch, who have been drawn against AmaZulu FC will kick-off the knockout Cup on the 18th of October at King Zwelithini Stadium. The match will kick-off at 19:00.

Stellies will be looking to bounce back from their disappointment in the MTN8, which saw them suffer a 3-1 defeat against Orlando Pirates in the final at Moses Mabhida Stadium last weekend.

On the other hand, the Buccaneers will face the new Betway Premiership side, Magesi FC, at Orlando Stadium on Saturday, 19 October, and the match will start at 15:00.

Last season, Pirates were shocked by Richards Bay FC after being eliminated in the quarter-final stages. The Natal Rich Boys beat the Soweto giants 5-4 on penalties at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban.
