Rowen Human on life after Franco Martin’s departure at AmaZulu

AmaZulu FC attacking midfielder Rowen Human has reflected on life after head coach Pablo Franco Martin’s sacking at the club a fortnight ago.

Martin and his assistant coach, Aitor Van Den Brule, were both shown the exit door at AmaZulu due to a poor run of form, which saw the club suffer three consecutive defeats in the new Betway Premiership campaign.

Consequently, the KwaZulu-Natal team is currently at the bottom of the log standings without any points from three matches.

In total, the Spanish mentor managed 39 games while at AmaZulu, achieving 12 wins, 12 draws, and 15 losses.

AmaZulu officially announced last Tuesday that Arthur Zwane and Vusumuzi Vilakazi have been appointed co-coaches to lead the team in the current campaign.

ROWEN HUMAN SPEAKS ABOUT WHAT LIFE IS LIKE AFTER FRANCO MARTIN’S EXIT

The 23-year-old Human admitted that life has been challenging since Martin left but insists that things are beginning to improve.

“It hasn’t been easy for all of us. Now, the guys are doing a little bit better, and we have been training really well. I feel like it’s just a matter of time before everything clicks for us, and we come back and do well together,” said Human.

“We have about two or three weeks before our next game, a very big game against Stellenbosch FC. We have been in a good space lately, so we look forward to the coming weeks and see what happens.

“It’s very tough; the coach had a plan and a way of doing things after having spent a season with him. The main thing for us as players now is to be together and understand one another.”

He continued by stating that the players have the duty to support the new technical team in order to achieve success.

“For now, it’s really important to take responsibility with the new coach coming in. We need to help the new technical team,” he added.
