Gavin Hunt provides injury update on Bradley Grobler and Grant Margeman
Supersport United coach Gavin Hunt has provided an injury update on the club’s key players, Bradley Grobler and Grant Margeman.
The two players have been crucial for SuperSport under Hunt, consistently showcasing impressive performances whenever they take the field.
Last season, Margeman made 37 appearances in all competitions, scored one goal, and provided four assists. Grobler recorded 12 goals and one assist in 33 matches across all competitions.
In the 2024/25 campaign, Grobler has made only one appearance for the Tshwane side due to a knee injury he sustained during the MTN8 quarter-finals against Orlando Pirates.
Similarly, Margeman suffered a torn Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) at the beginning of the season. Like Grobler, the Bafana Bafana international has only appeared once this season, also in the MTN8.
GAVIN HUNT SAYS BRADLEY GROBLER AND GRANT MARGEMAN ARE RECOVERING WELL
The 60-year-old coach says he is happy that Grobler and Margerman are recovering well. He expects them to be back on the pitch soon to help the team after a poor start to the new season.
Both players attended the SuperSport training session on Thursday at Megawatt Park in Woodmead. Grobler trained with the rest of the squad while Margeman watched on the sidelines.
“It’s the first time they trained with us; it’s a plus for us. Hopefully, we can start including them by being on the bench,” said Hunt.
“We haven’t played with a right-sided player in the pre-season and the whole season. So we had to make shifts and change the system and the shape of the team, and it has affected us, there’s no doubt. Hopefully, they come back, and we get in the game.”
