How a CT City star juggles football and his insatiable passion for real estate

Cape Town City FC midfielder Luyolo Slatsha has revealed how he has juggled his football career and his insatiable passion for real estate.

The 22-year-old is excelling in entrepreneurship as much as he is rising as a footballer who is known for mopping up balls before they enter a more dangerous zone for CT City.

Slatsha is seriously investing in the real estate business, something he has focused on after finishing his football duties at CT City. It has been his routine for the last two years.

In an interview with FARPost, the rising midfielder revealed how he has managed to get results on both fronts while admitting that it has not been an easy task balancing the two.

Slatsha says he wants to be an example to budding Betway Premiership footballers by setting a retirement plan while in the early years of his career as a professional footballer.

“I know it was always going to be a challenging task for me, but these are two passions that I chose to chase at the same time. For football, I need about six hours a day, and I can dedicate the rest of the hours to entrepreneurship,” said Slatsha.

“My goal is to be a better person, and to be honest, these two have been complementing each other because when I am training and playing football, I ease off all the pressure and stress that comes with being an entrepreneur.

“In a big way, how we endure on the field of play has been a big influence on how I endure in business as a young person. To be honest, it can only get better with time, but with dedication, we can only shape the future.

“More so, the support that I get on and off the field has been a great motivator for me. I just hope that the more I push on the field will eventually translate to the success in entrepreneurship.

“I know that this is an odd combination of jobs, but I feel like entrepreneurship will carry my ambitions even after my football career ends. Right now, I am 22; I believe it’s the right time for me to secure my future as a sportsman,” added Slatsha.

Meanwhile, the midfielder is enjoying his time under Eric Tinkler, where he has had the chance to play alongside stars Kamohelo Mokotjo and Haashim Domingo.
