Kaizer Chiefs head coach Nasreddine Nabi has highlighted three key things that his team needs to improve following their heavy defeat to Mamelodi Sundowns.
Amakhosi suffered a 4-0 defeat to the Brazilians in the Carling Knockout Cup quarter-final, which took place in front of a packed FNB Stadium on Saturday.
This was the third defeat for the Phefeni Glamour Boys under the guidance of the Tunisian tactician in seven official matches they have played this season. Moreover, they have managed to claim three victories and one draw.
Nabi emphasised the importance of maintaining their style of play rather than altering their approach based on the opponents.

He then highlighted the need for better decision-making, improved technique, and increased trust among the players.
However, he feels their recent struggles are part of the “learning curve” for Amakhosi who are still undergoing the rebuilding process.
“It will be very simple if you have to change your way of playing or your game plan every day,” said Nabi. “It’s true that we played against a quality team. They were pressing high, and we knew that that was going to happen.
“But what do we need? Do we need to play long balls to Vilakazi and the other players? No. Instead, we want to improve our quality of play. We were a little bit nervous.
“We need to improve our decision-making. We need to improve our technique. We need to improve our confidence with our teammates.
“Because sometimes you get a ball, and your teammates are reluctant to ask for the ball. For example, in Build-up, you have the solution.
“For example, in every build-up, you have to have a solution. Sundowns were pressing. But you need to have a simple solution. Not [make] a bad decision.
“[We were not] making good decisions, but this is part of the learning curve.”
