Agent offers update on Katlego Otladisa’s links to three Betway Prem clubs

Nimrod Mbhalati, agent of Orlando Pirates winger Katlego Otladisa, has given an update on his client’s links with a possible loan move to three Betway Premiership clubs.

According to local reports, the 28-year-old is set to exit at the Soweto giants in the January transfer window period.

There is growing concern over Otladisa’s limited playing time at Pirates, raising speculation that he may be loaned out to get more game time elsewhere.

The skilful left-winger joined Pirates in July 2023 on a long-term contract following the relegation of his former team, Marumo Gallants.

The ex-Platinum Stars, Cape Umoya United, Ajax Cape Town, Orbit College, and Mamelodi Sundowns player has not played for Pirates in any matches this season.

WHAT DID KATLEGO OTLADISA’S AGENT SAY ABOUT THE LINKS TO THREE BETWAY PREMIERSHIP CLUBS?

Recently, Otladisa has been linked with moves to Sekhukhune United, Polokwane City FC, and a reunion with his ex-club Gallants.

The agent said he had not spoken to Pirates about his client’s future, but did confirm interest from other clubs.

“I’m yet to sit down with Orlando Pirates management and find solutions regarding this situation, and it’s highly unlikely for that meeting to happen now because, obviously, the window period is closed,” Mbhalati from Nida Sports Agency told FARPost.

“So, let’s wait and see what will happen when the time for the meeting is right. But yes, there is interest in the boy from a few clubs, and it’s also evident that he’s not playing.

“He is at an age where he should be getting more minutes, but we will cross that bridge when we get there. The boy is strong, and we support him together with his family; they are very supportive. I personally talk to him daily, and he is positive and working hard.”

It is only a matter of time to see if Otladisa will stay at Pirates or seek better opportunities elsewhere once the January transfer window opens.
