Sead Ramovic already has a new job offer

Just days after leaving Betway Premiership side TS Galaxy, coach Sead Ramovic already has a new job offer.

Ramovic shocked the South African football fraternity with his sudden resignation announced live during a post-match interview.

The 45-year-old tactician’s decision to leave the club after a successful three-year stint has sparked speculation about his next move. He cited personal reasons, including a desire to spend more time with his family, as the primary factor behind his departure.

However, he also acknowledged the challenges of constant player turnover at the club. Despite these challenges, Ramovic led TS Galaxy to significant success, including selling several players to top-tier clubs.

“We sold 12 players to the best teams in our league. I think, if I’m not mistaken, the club got around more than R40 million for these players in the last two seasons; it’s just amazing,” he said.

He added that he would “wait for the right offer. “In the end, I would like to win something. If you sell every year, half of your team and to start from the scratch again is not that easy. It takes a lot of energy, but I just go now the other way and try to wait for the right offer, right club, and if this kind of right offer comes out.”

WHICH CLUB HAS OFFERED SEAD RAMOVIC A NEW JOB

FARPost has it on good authority that Botswana Premier League giants Township Rollers have expressed interest in appointing Ramovic as their head coach. The club, eager to reclaim their former glory, is looking to bolster their coaching staff with experienced personnel.

Popa, as Rollers are affectionately known, are determined to dethrone Jwaneng Galaxy, who have clinched the past two league titles under the guidance of Morena Ramoreboli. The traditional giants, last crowned champions in 2019, have a new owner at the helm.

Just last week, they embarked on a study tour to Young Africans in Dar es Salaam, aiming to learn from the Tanzanian giants’ successful model.

Concurrently, they explored the possibility of appointing Ramovic. Indications are that Ramovic is not eager to take up the role.

Currently, Teenage Mpote, a former national team coach, leads Rollers. Mpote previously guided the club to a league title as interim coach in 2017, only to be replaced afterwards. This season, he has overseen five league matches, securing three wins, one loss, and one draw.

As Ramovic weighs his options, it’s clear that he is a highly sought-after coach. His impressive track record at TS Galaxy has attracted attention from various clubs, both domestically and internationally.

“I would like to spend more time with my parents because they are older,” he said when asked about his next move.

“They came with me when I arrived, but they spent only eight months. Now, they are back. They cannot fly so much, and my father is 76 and you never know how much time you can see my forefathers.

“So it’s time to spend time with them, and then it’s time to see them, and we are happy. My kids, they’re also happy to see the grandfather. So it’s time, okay.”
