Stellenbosch FC hit by injury blow of Lehlogonolo Mojela

Stellenbosch FC have suffered a major injury blow of the talented forward Lehlogonolo Mojela, who started the 2024/25 PSL season on a high note.

Mojela joined the Cape Winelands-based side at the beginning of this campaign following his impressive displays at TS Galaxy.

His satisfying performances at Galaxy earned him a Bafana Bafana call-up for the 2024 COSAFA Cup, where he made his international debut against Mozambique.

So far, the 28-year-old striker has featured in nine games for the Steve Barker-coached outfit across all competitions before he could succumb to his injury.

In those nine outings, Mojela has managed to find the back of the net on six occasions for the Maroon army.

WHAT KIND OF INJURY DID LEHLOGONOLO MOJELA SUSTAIN?

Stellies have confirmed that Mojela has undergone surgery to treat a recurrence of a previous knee injury.

As a result, the injury and healing process will exclude Mojela for most of the rest of the season.

The 2023/24 Carling Knockout Cup champions stated that the club’s medical and performance staff will offer gifted striker the essential assistance to guarantee he comes back even stronger.
