Khama Billiat’s next possible destination revealed
After parting ways with Yadah FC, Khama Billiat’s next possible club has been revealed as speculation about his future is rife.
Billiat is set to join a new club in January after spending the year 2024 playing in Zimbabwe for Yadah FC.
At Yadah FC, the stylish forward showed that he still has a lot to offer and has been targeted by several clubs. Yadah FC finished Zimbabwe’s 2024 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League season in 11th position in the 18-team league.
But the former Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs winger proved to be their point of difference throughout the campaign.
He made 24 goal contributions, after scoring 13 goals and providing 11 assists for The Miracle Boys. In addition, he became the first Yadah FC player to make it to the league’s 2024 Soccer Stars list.
He was the first runner up for the Player of the Season award that was won by ex-Polokwane City forward, Walter Musona. The 34-year-old has been linked to Sekhukhune United while a sensational return to Kaizer Chiefs cannot be ruled out.
SCOTTLAND FC LEAVES DOOR OPEN FOR KHAMA BILLIAT
And FARPost has it on good authority that BIlliat wants to return to the lucrative Betway Premiership as it is his first preference.
However if nothing materializes from the Betway Premiership, the Zimbabwe international will join ambitious outfit, Scottland FC in Zimbabwe. The Harare-based side has left the door open for the former Chiefs talisman.
“They are ready to take him on board. But they also acknowledge his desire to go back and play in South Africa. But if it doesn’t work, they have left their door open for him to walk in,” a impeccable source told FARPost.
Scottland FC are on a massive recruitment drive as they prepare for their maiden campaign in the country’s elite league. They have already retained the services of former Chippa United and SuperSport United left-back Ronald Pfumbidzai.
As such, Billiat will be a massive acquisition for them. They are also aiming to lure 2024 Golden Boot winner, Lynoth Chikuhwa.
Meanwhile, all is on course for Scottland FC in terms of finances for the next season. They have already received two sponsorship packages worth R45.7 million from Sakunda Holdings and IMC Communications respectively.
