Why Sammy Seabi chose Polokwane City over other offers
Polokwane City FC midfielder Sammy Seabi has explained his decision to return to the club instead of taking other available options.
Seabi recently signed a season-long deal at Betway Premiership side. It is the same club where the 30-year-old made a name for himself before securing a dream move to Mamelodi Sundowns.
After four seasons away, Seabi has made a move back to the Limpopo side. He has already featured six times in all competitions for the club since his return.
SAMMY SEABI EXPLAINS HIS DECISION TO REJOIN POLOKWANE CITY
“It’s my home. This is where Viera started. So I thought about it and decided it’s the right move,” Seabi told FARPost.
“There were a lot of options, but I said, let me go back to where I was because the main aim is to regenerate myself.
“It’s home, and I appreciate the opportunity to come back home again. As you know last season I didn’t get enough game time but now I am focused and I can feel that I am getting there,” he explained.

“So far so good. There are a lot of changes obviously. If you leave a place and come back, there will always be changes. But the love and appreciation is always there. So it’s just for me to work on myself and help the team.
“But most importantly, to bring back the real Viera, and I am on track to do it. The most important thing in football is to feel appreciated and to feel the love. The performance will come after.”
Polokwane City will return to action on Saturday when they travel to KZN to face Golden Arrows. They currently sit third on the Betway Premiership log behind Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates.
