Venda FC part ways with Vladislav Heric and Collins Mbesuma

FARPost has established that Motsepe Foundation Championship side Venda FC has parted ways with head coach Vladislav Heric and striker coach Collins Mbesuma.

The former Kaizer Chiefs striker has been at Venda FC since September.

He was roped in to assist with the strikers after the club had struggled to score goals at the beginning of the season. Mbesuma has been part of the technical team led by Heric.

This publication has gathered that the 40-year-old will not be returning to the club when they resume training this weekend. It’s unclear what has led to Mbesuma’s sudden departure from the Limpopo-based club.

Coach Heric has previously described Mbesuma as an impactful addition to his team given his past experiences.

“We are very pleased to have Collins Mbesuma in our technical team,” Heric told FARPost at the time.

“He was not only a good player, but he is also a good coach, especially for strikers. He has been showing them how to act inside the box or when they are outside. How to make movements inside the box and all those qualities,” he added.

“So besides the fact that he was one of the best we have, he is also an excellent coach. He is definitely adding much value for us, and as per the training, we can see that there is a difference already.”

Meanwhile, Heric will also not be returning to the club when they return over the weekend. The Serbian-born coach has not won a league match in the last six games of Venda FC. They currently sit at the bottom of the log with nine points from 14 games.

The club was earlier linked with former Baroka FC and Marumo Gallants coach Stanford Nkoane. This publication has gathered that Nkoane has since moved to rivals Black Leopards as assistant coach to Maxwell Konadu.
