Simba Bhora have acquired the services of Butholezwe Ncube who spent seven years in Usuthu’s ranks.

FARPost has it in authority that Ncube signed a two-year contract with the Shamva-based side.

He joins them at a time, they are parting ways with former Polokwane City midfielder Walter Musona and former Casric Stars goalkeeper Talbert Shumba.

The 32-year-old, Ncube made 83 appearances for AmaZulu in all competitions. That was after joining Usuthu in 2016, when he was signed from the Zimbabwean outfit Tsholotsho FC.

After becoming a regular at Usuthu, the Zimbabwean saw his contract being extended up to 2022.

His exploits saw him become an invaluable asset under then coach Benni McCarthy, who entrusted him with the demanding defensive midfield role.

In 83 appearances, the combative anchorman scored three goals and provided three assists for AmaZulu. While his statistics were decent for a midfielder, his contract was not renewed beyond 2022.

The contract was not extended at the time he was working on acquiring his permanent residency permit.

In addition, he surfaced at Sheasham FC in Zimbabwe’s first division at the start of 2024. He emerged as one of the best players in the Central Region Division One League.
