‘We shouldn’t be undermined anymore’ – Mohafe sends warning
Polokwane City FC coach Phuti Mohafe insists the days of being undermined by Betway Premiership rivals are gone.
Mohafe’s team currently sits in third position on the log standings behind leaders Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates, who are second. PLK City have played two more games.
However, their form in the current season has caught the attention of many in the football fraternity. Rise and Shine are also on a five-match unbeaten streak.
Mohafe believes the team’s performance is due to the quality of the playing personnel at their disposal.
WHY POLOKWANE CITY CAN NOT BE UNDERMINED BY OTHER CLUBS IN THE BETWAY PREMIERSHIP
“We have great quality in the team and great depth in this team. I think we shouldn’t be undermined anymore,” said Mohafe.
The club has players such as Oswin Appollis, Thabang Matuludi, Manuel Kambala, Douglas Mapfumo, Puleng Marema, Sammy Seabi, Rodney Maphangule, Cole Alexander and other seasoned players.
“We just need to see Polokwane with more depth. So we have depth and quality, and no one is not replaceable. Everyone in the team can be replaced,” added Mohafe.

The former Ria Stars and Witbank Spurs player has also sent a strong message to those who also undermine him personally. He took over in the middle of the previous season after the departure of Lehlohonolo Seema and Duncan Lechesa, who were co-coaches.
“Yes, whoever undermines me undermines the team. Undermines what we are doing and the team.”
PLK City’s best finish in the Premiership was fifth spot achieved during the 2018/19 season when Bernard Molekwa was at the helm. The club will not be in action this coming weekend. They will face SuperSport United on 17 January in their next encounter.
