Seema explain Jamie Webber and Njabulo Ngcobo whereabouts

Sekhukhune United coach Lehlohonolo Seema has explained why midfielder Jamie Webber has not featured for the club, as well as the latest with defender Njabulo Ngcobo.

Webber was one of the regular players for the club during the previous season. But the 26-year-old has not featured in a single match or made it to the match-day squad this season.

Meanwhile, former Kaizer Chiefs defender Njabulo Ngcobo has also been missing in action in recent times. His last match was during the 3-1 defeat by TS Galaxy in the Betway Premiership match in November.

JAMIE WEBBER’S ABSENCE FROM THE SEKHUKHUNE UNITED TEAM EXPLAINED

When asked about Webber’s absence, Seema says it is due to the competition within the team.

“Like I said, it’s one of the things as a club we are trying to assemble a team that is strong. The players know that they need to compete,” he said.

“So [Keletso] Sifama and [Jamie] Webber are still part of the Sekhukhune team. They are registered with the team. But players need to fight and work hard.”

LEHLOHONOLO SEEMA REVEALS THAT NJABULO NGCOBO HAS SUFFERED A KNOCK

“There are also other players that you haven’t seen. You haven’t seen [Njabulo] Ngcobo for some time. But he is also injured. You also have not seen some players that are still there. So they are waiting for their chance. We have a squad that gives us a headache or we are spoilt for choice.

“So every time we put a team, we put a team that deserves to play. Everyone knows now that you have to work hard in order to [get a chance]. Once the technical team is convinced enough and you are ready to come and contribute, you will see the players that will come in.

“The season is still long, so everybody is still in our books and expect to see the rotation in future and the players will be there. So don’t worry, they are still our players.”
