Kaizer Chiefs confirm second loan move to Richards Bay

Kaizer Chiefs have further strengthened their ties with Richards Bay FC, confirming a second loan agreement that sees Mduduzi Mdantsane heading to KZN for the second round of the season.

The announcement by Amakhosi came just hours before their Betway Premiership match against Stellenbosch FC on Friday night [19:30]at Athlone Stadium in Cape Town.

This move, initially reported by FARPost, makes Mdantsane the second Chiefs player to join Richards Bay on loan, following Sabelo Radebe’s earlier transfer in the current 2024/25 campaign.

Mdantsane’s loan to ‘The Natal Rich Boyz’ offers him an opportunity to gain consistent playing time and impress Kaizer Chiefs coach Nasreddine Nabi. The loan agreement, which runs for the next four months, will see Mdantsane return to Naturena ahead of the 2025/26 season.

The 30-year-old attacker has struggled to break into Chiefs team, failing to make the match-day squad this season since recovering from a motor vehicle accident. He had to undergo surgery due to a broken jaw and missed pre-season as a result.

“We wish ‘Mdu’ all the best as he embarks on this new chapter in his career. His journey at Natal Rich Boyz is sure to be an exciting one, and we look forward to his return to the Amakhosi family, ready to make a mark in the team.”
