Proud Galaxy coach set new targets after Sundowns win
TS Galaxy coach Adnan Beganovic has set out a target for the club to achieve for the remainder of the season following the big win against Mamelodi Sundowns on Tuesday.
Galaxy stunned the Betway Premiership log leaders at Mbombela Stadium. Kamohelo Sebelebele scored the only goal of the match, handing Masandawana their second loss this season in the league.
The Rockets’ win means they have now gone 13 matches without a loss, putting them in fourth place on the Betway Premiership log. Beganovic has also not lost a match since taking over from Sead Ramovic in November.
The 41-year-old has also given club chairman Tim Sukazi praise for the support to ensure that the team is always ready for matches.
ADNAN BEGANOVIC SAYS THEIR TARGET IS NOW TO REMAIN IN THE TOP EIGHT
“The secret is our precision. How we train and how we prepare our team for the matches,” said Beganovic after the match.
“As I said, it’s a tough schedule in February, eight games that we have to play. But how we run is unbelievable, so that means we create beautiful precision, and we just follow what we need to do. I also want to say, we recover our players very well because before I came here I spoke to our chairman and we bought everything we needed to recover our players. So we have everything we need now so I am so proud.”
TS GALAXY COACH LAUDS CLUB CHAIRMAN TIM SUKAZI FOR UNDERSTATING HIS VISION
“He [Tim Sukazi] also recognises quality and that we need to be at the top. So now we are at the top, we want to say our goal now is top. If we reach something more, yes. Why not? But we want to fight for every point, for every inch, and we don’t want to give up until the end of the season.”
“For me, it’s a beautiful feeling when all players who play understand what we want and what we prepare for each game. It’s very important for my players to understand tactically what we want.”
