Sukazi picks 4 TS Galaxy players that ‘deserve’ Bafana Bafana call-ups
TS Galaxy chairman Tim Sukazi has advocated for four of his club’s players to receive Bafana Bafana call-ups due to their “consistent” performances.
This call comes on the back of a remarkable run of form for ‘The Rockets’, who, under the new management of Adnan Beganovic, went 13 games undefeated across all competitions.
However, they recently dropped the ball in their last two matches, losing to Durban City Fc in the Nedbank Cup Last 16 and to Stellenbosch FC in the Betway Premiership.
Four key players who have been vital to the team’s performances have been recommended by Sukazi for consideration by Bafana head coach Hugo Broos.
This includes centre-backs Khulumani Ndamane and Samukelo Kabini, winger Kamogelo Sebelebele, and midfielder Puso Dithejane.
SUKAZI – FOUR TS GALAXY PLAYERS WHO ARE NATIONAL ASSETS
“They [Ndamane and Kabini] are the best defensive pairing in the league, I’m saying it loud and clear,” said Sukazi.
“They are national assets including Dithejane and Sebelebele, they deserve to be in the national team. It makes no common logic for them not to be called.
“They deserve a look-in, I mean in a proper national team, I’m not talking about COSAFA [squad] where you call anyone.
“Call them in the proper national team, a [World Cup or AFCON] qualifier. Don’t say we’re building here; there’s no such a thing. If a player is ready is ready.
“I said the same thing about Bathusi Aubaas; eventually, it happened. And you now agree he’s at the top level. But then, because they are from TS Galaxy…other players who are very below par will be chosen, as we’ve seen. Other players survive by luck in the national team.
“I’m saying that brutally, they survive with a comedy of errors. Coaches have to look at these things on merit. Kabini and Ndamane deserve a look-in in that leaky national team defence, that one that is playing.
“Of course, Puso, he’s a national team asset too. He’s been part of the junior national team, but his time will come. He also needs to be consistent.”
