What has helped Jayden Adams settle at Mamelodi Sundowns

Mamelodi Sundowns coach Miguel Cardoso has mentioned a key factor that has made recent signing Jayden Adams settle quicker at the club.

Adams completed a move to Masandawana from Stellenbosch FC during the January transfer window period.

The Bafana Bafana player has quickly adapted to life at the defending champions. He has scored two goals in the eight matches in all competitions for the Tshwane giants.

The 23-year-old scored his second goal for the club during the 4-1 win against TS Galaxy on Saturday evening.

ONE THING THAT HAS MADE JAYDEN ADAMS SETTLE AT MASANDAWANA

“Of course, we have quality players, and Jayden is one of them. He’s happy being among us, and I think that has been helping him to settle,” said Cardoso.

“The way we play and what we want from him in terms of tasks, he is able to do them. He is capable of doing so many things and is a very interesting player in terms of understanding the game.”

MIGUEL CARDOSO HAILS THE CONTRIBUTION OF RECENT MAMELODI SUNDOWNS SIGNING

“He is very intelligent. He does not need to run too much because of how he has to play the ball in the right spaces in the different dimensions of the game. We are just trying to set up everyone together so that we can have a better game. I always believe that if you play better, you win more,” added Cardoso.

“The role of a coach is to try to find the connections between the players so that the whole [system] works. I believe a coach needs to create an organisation where players can express themselves.”

Meanwhile, Adams was voted Man of the Match for his performance against Galaxy after completing the whole 90 minutes on Saturday.

Sundowns will now shift focus to Sekhukhune United in Polokwane on Wednesday.
