‘He’ll reach double figures this season’: Sukazi on TS Galaxy star
TS Galaxy chairman Tim Sukazi has lauded one of the players from his club, saying he expects him to reach double figures in goals this season.
Sukazi was speaking to the journalists in Durban two weeks ago after the Rockets’ 2-1 defeat at the hands of Durban City FC in the Nedbank Cup Round of 16 clash.
He commended the in-form Dženan Zajmović, who had been on the scoresheet in that match. The Bosnian striker, who joined the club at the beginning of the season, has been on fire, scoring 10 goals in 20 matches in all competitions.
Sukazi believes the 30-year-old forward has what it takes to reach the double figures in the Betway Premiership.
SUKAZI HEAPS PRAISE ON ZAJMOVIC
“Zajmović has been fantastic; he’s a hell of a find. We get criticised when we transfer players as part of our business model, but the truth is we always do our best to replace them with better quality,” said Sukazi.
“He’s an example, he’s been fantastic, and he’s our top goal-scorer.
“And I’m sure he’s gonna reach double figures, and in South Africa, once you reach double figures, you’ve done fantastically well.
“Also for him, it’s a tricky league, this is not an easy league, the tempo is super high. European players usually take time to adapt, and they struggle, but I think he’s adapted quickly and done a fantastic job for us.”
Regarding future interest in the player, Sukazi said the club would consider transfer offers that are reasonable.
GALAXY OPEN TO LET ZAJMOVIC GO
“It’s not for me to predict [if he will still be at Galaxy next season], but people know my number,” he added.
“If they want to talk, no problem. At TS Galaxy, we don’t stand in the way of players. We’ve been like that, it’s not an issue, as long as they respect us.
“Obviously, if they come with offers that make sense, we always listen. We try to make it work, especially if it will benefit the player as well.”
