Cape Town City FC unveil former Bafana star Thulani Serero

Cape Town City FC have unveiled former Bafana star Thulani Serero as the 2024/25 Betway Premiership progresses. This comes after the club’s interim coach, Muhsin Ertugral, confirmed the acquisition of the experienced midfielder a week ago.

The 34-year-old returned to SA after a successful 14 years abroad, leaving SA in 2011 to join Ajax Amsterdam, where he spent six seasons.

Serero has been training with the Cape club for the past two weeks, with Ertugral believing that the midfielder will add value to his midfield options.

During his time overseas, Serero also had stints with teams such as Vitesse in the Netherlands and UAE Pro League sides Al Jazira and Khorfakkan.
