MARUMO GALLANTS SUFFER DOUBLE INJURY BLOW IN THE FIRST HALF

Gallants suffered an injury blow just 10 minutes into the match with Washington Arubi sustaining a hand injury.

Goalkeeper Kagiso Mlambo replaced him as he received medical attention on the sidelines.

Lebogang Mabotja was another Gallants player who had to be replaced due to a head injury. This came after he collided with goalkeeper Mlambo. Mpho Chabatsane came into his place.

Mhango broke the deadlock in the 15th minute of the showpiece to give the Bloemfontein-based outfit the lead.

In the 74th minute, Pirates and Bafana Bafana midfielder Thalente Mbatha scored an own goal to give Gallants a 2-0 win.

The two goals were enough for Gallants to walk away victorious on their turf.
