Owen Da Gama reveals another Chirambadare setback
Magesi FC coach Owen Da Gama has revealed another setback regarding Edmore Chirambadare’s recovery, despite the attacker returning to training a few weeks ago.
Chirambadare has been missing in action for the club since the Carling Cup match against an All-Star side in December.
The 33-year-old has been a key player for Magesi since their time in the Motsepe Foundation Championship. He has only featured four times in the Betway Premiership this season due to his injury.

Da Gama has since revealed that Chirambadare returned to training a few weeks ago but, unfortunately, suffered yet another injury.
“Chirambadare came back two weeks ago and then during his second training session, he got a different injury. So we are hoping to push Chirambadare. There will be a big break after the 20th. We will go for a month without any matches and all the other activities involved. But we are just praying and hoping that we can get Chirambadare back. He will definitely help us with his experience.”
Da Gama also confirmed that striker Wonderboy Makhubu has been ruled out for the rest of the season due to an injury. Makhubu has not played for Magesi since early February.
OWEN DA GAMA PLEASED WITH GIFT MOTUPA AFTER MAKING FIRST START
Meanwhile, veteran striker Gift Motupa made his first start of the season during the 1-0 win against SuperSport United on Saturday. Motupa, who has made a few appearances as a substitute, lasted 78 minutes in the game.
“I have worked with Gift [Motupa], and I introduced him to the Under-23 national team. So I understand his quality,” said Da Gama.
