Top earner: How much Billiat pockets per month at Scottland FC
Former Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns forward Khama Billiat has emerged as the highest earner in Zimbabwe’s 2025 PSL season.
During his time at Chiefs, Billiat earned a substantial salary, but the exact figures were never confirmed since joining the Soweto giants in 2018 from Sundowns.
His switch back to Zimbabwe saw him become the highest-paid player in Zimbabwe then as a Yadah FC player. The 34-year-old pocketed about R95,500 [US$ 5 000] per month during the 2024 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League season.
His contract with Yadah FC ended in December 2024. When he moved to Scottland FC, Billiat remained the most expensive player in the modest Zimbabwean league.
His signing-on fees at Scottland FC have not been confirmed since joining the club in January 2025. But FARPost understands that he pocketed a hefty US$ 40,000 [roughly R748,000].
HOW MUCH THE FORMER CHIEFS FORWARD BILLIAT IS EARNING
In terms of his salary, it has emerged that the former Betway Premiership Player of the Season is earning R 108 800 [US$ 6000] per month.
On the highest earners list, Billiat is followed by Walter Musona, who is believed to be pocketing R 63 000 [US$3 500]. Walter, who is Knowledge Musona’s younger brother, is also plying his trade at ambitious Scottland FC.
The team is arguably the most sponsored club in Zimbabwe at the moment. They boast of massive sponsorship packages received from various sources that include Betterbrands, Sakunda Holdings, IMC Communications and Ecobank.
Third on the top earners list is Emmanuel Jalai of Dynamos FC, who is said to be pocketing R 45 300 [US$ 25000]. In truth, the salaries of Zimbabwean footballers appear to be taking an upward trajectory.
Crucially, Billiat missed the team’s debut Castle Lager Premier Soccer League match due to injury. However, he could be in line to start on Saturday when they face Caps United. They won their first match 1-0 over Triangle FC.
