Jayden Adams picks battle against Bongani Zungu
Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Jayden Adams has revealed why he is looking forward to a battle against Bongani Zungu on Tuesday evening.
The Tshwane giants will take on Usuthu in a Betway Premiership clash at the Lucas Moripe Stadium in Atteridgeville, with kickoff set for 19:30.
The defending champions will be looking to extend their lead at the top of the table. They currently lead rivals Orlando Pirates by 16 points. AmaZulu, on the other hand, are unbeaten in the last three matches.
Adams, who has settled in well at Masandawana since joining from Stellenbosch FC, has named Zungu and two other players that he believes would be key for Usuthu.
WHY JAYDEN ADAMS IS LOOKING FORWARD TO A BATTLE WITH BONGANI ZUNGU
“He [Bongani Zungu] is experienced, and he’s a ball player. He is also coming from Sundowns. So it’s going to be a nice battle for me in the midfield,” said Adams.
“I think Rowan Human is in form now, [Bongani] Zungu and [Riaan] Hanamub, the wingback. He is very attacking, so yeah.”

The 23-year-old says he expects an AmaZulu side that will be energetic and urges their supporters to come in numbers. “I think we can expect a very energetic team. They like to press high, sometimes in a low block,” he said.
“But I think our preparations were very good. We worked on a few new things. The mood is very great. The boys are ready, and we are looking forward to the AmaZulu game.”
“[The fans must] keep coming in numbers. We love the support, and we will see you tomorrow [Tuesday] and be early, please.”
The Sundowns and AmaZulu fixture is among the four league matches that will take place on Tuesday. Relegation-threatened Magesi FC will take on Richards Bay FC at Seshego Stadium. Stellenbosch FC will do battle against title chasers Orlando Pirates at Athlone Stadium, while TS Galaxy will host SuperSport United at Mbombela Stadium.
