Tanzanian club Azam FC have said they are ready to cash in on Taifa Stars midfielder Feisal Salum, who has been linked with a move to Kaizer Chiefs. Salum is contracted to the Dar es Salaam-based club until June 2026.

He joined the Chamazi Millionaires from rivals Young Africans in 2023 on a three-year deal. He previously worked with Chiefs coach Nasreddine Nabi, who is known to be a big fan of the player.

Reports suggest that the former Yanga SC coach, Nabi, is keen on reuniting with the playmaker in the Betway Premiership at Amakhosi.

โ€˜Fei Totoโ€™, as he is affectionately known, has been a key figure in the clubโ€™s midfield with 12 assists and four goals in Tanzania Premier League this season.

Speaking to FARPost, Azam FC spokesperson Thabit Zacharia addressed the growing speculation surrounding Feisalโ€™s potential move to South Africa.

โ€œWe expect Feisal to deliver results because we are paying him a lot of money. However, if he decides to leave, that will be his choice. We are not stopping him from leaving,โ€ Zacharia told FARPost.

Despite this openness to a potential departure, Azam FC clarified that they have no immediate plans to release the player.

โ€œWe have no plans to let Feisal go. But if a team makes an offer that meets our expectations, we will not stand in his way. However, as of now, we have not received any offers from any club.โ€

Amakhosi are not the only club eager to land the services of the 27-year-old star. Tanzanian giants Simba SC are known to be after the playerโ€™s signature.

However, Zacharia insists there has been no formal talks with any club regarding the Zanzibar-born ace.

Salum is part of the Tanzania national team side that plays Morocco on Tuesday in a 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier.
