Amavarara FC have qualified for the provincial playoffs of SAFA Eastern Cape ABC Motsepe League after their 2-1 win over Mayaya FC on Saturday afternoon.
The showdown between Amavarara and Mayaya took place at Idutywa School of Excellence in Idutywa.
Amavarara won the Coastal Stream with 46 points from 18 matches, just two points ahead of second-placed Matta Milan.
As a result, Amavarara will face the winner from Inland Stream, FC Ravens, in the provincial playoffs to determine who will represent Eastern Cape at the ABC Motsepe League national playoffs.
Ravens won the Inland Stream with 36 points from 14 outings, a point adrift from the second-placed Sinenkani FC.
If the winner of the provincial playoffs finishes in the finals of the ABC Motsepe League national playoffs, they will be promoted to the Motsepe Foundation Championship.
