Marumo Gallants closing in on ex-Bafana striker Dino Ndlovu

In an attempt to avoid the dreaded relegation axe, Marumo Gallants are reportedly closing in on ex-Bafana Bafana striker Dino Ndlovu, aiming to inject much-needed firepower into their attack.

The Bloemfontein-based outfit is currently languishing at the bottom of the Betway Premiership season in 14th place with 22 points from 22 outings.

The 35-year-old goal scorer has been without a club since July 2024 after cutting ties with the Turkish Ligue 1 side Sakaryaspor. After he departed from Sakaryaspor, Ndlovu succumbed to a decision to return to his home soil [South Africa] with the hopes of finding a new club.

The veteran frontman spent about a decade overseas, where he managed to turn out for clubs such as Maccabi Haifa, Anorthosis Famagusta, Changchun Yatai, Boluspor, Qarabag FK, to mention a few.

In an interview with Robert Marawa on MSW last month, Ndlovu disclosed that he encountered several obstacles in his effort to rejuvenate his football career in South Africa.

The well-travelled forward stated that many Betway Premiership clubs wrongly assume that his wage demands are too high. Nonetheless, Ndlovu went on to emphasise that he will not settle for anything short of an honest opportunity with a reasonable salary.

DINO NDLOVU TRAINING WITH MARUMO GALLANTS

According to FARPost sources, Ndlovu has been training with Gallants with the hope of putting pen to paper until the end of the season.

Gallants’ next league match will be against TS Galaxy away from home on Sunday, 30 March 2025. The showdown will take place at Mbombela Stadium in Mpumalanga, with the kick-off set for 17:30.

With all being said, it won’t be a surprise to see Gallants unveil the experienced striker anytime from now on as he is expected to add value to Bahlabane ba ntwa’s striking force.
