AmaZulu FC make two additions to their technical team

In a move aimed at further strengthening their team, AmaZulu FC have made two additions to their technical staff.

Usuthu, who have experienced inconsistency in recent seasons, have undergone a couple of technical team changes in this campaign to fine-tune their approach. In September last year, the club dismissed Pablo Franco Martin after a poor start, losing first three matches of the Betway Premiership.

The club then appointed Arthur Zwane and Vusumuzi Vilakazi as co-coaches, replacing the Spanish tactician. The duo had an impressive start to their time together as joint coaches.

But in a surprising turn of events, Vilakazi surprisingly tendered his resignation in February, citing the personal issues he was facing that could potentially disrupt his work.

His departure left Zwane, the former Kaizer Chiefs mentor, as the sole head coach, with Sboniso Vilakazi continuing in his role as assistant coach.

AMAZULU APPOINT TWO ANALYSTS FOR FIRST TEAM

AmaZulu have now appointed Tshepo Mahao as an analyst and elevated Mini Khoza to the first team in a similar capacity.

This comes after the departure of highly-rated analyst Pilela Maposa, who joined the Kenya national team led by South African coach Benni McCarthy. Pilela and McCarthy worked together at AmaZulu during the latter’s stint at the Durban-based club.

“Yes, we can confirm Mini Khoza and Tshepo Mahao are now our first team analysts,” the club’s Public Relations Officer Philani Ndlela confirmed to FARPost.

Before joining AmaZulu, Mahao had a brief stint at TS Galaxy, where he worked for a few months after leaving DR Congo side AS Vita.

Prior to his time with Vita, Mahao served as a performance analyst coach at Royal AM. His experience also includes roles at Polokwane City FC and Sekhukhune United.

Meanwhile, Khoza was a youth development tactical analyst for a few months at the club before earning promotion to the senior side.
