TS Galaxy rising star Ndamane opens up on Chiefs stint

Following a promising start to life at TS Galaxy, rising star Khulumani Ndamane has opened up about his stint with Kaizer Chiefs.

Ndamane joined Galaxy in July 2024 ahead of the 2024/25 Betway Premiership season from Amakhosi. The talented defender has quickly proven his worth in Galaxy colours after establishing himself as a regular starter, featuring in 22 appearances across all competitions.

The 21-year-old has been solid as the Rockets are fourth on the league table with 35 points after 23 matches under the guidance of Adnan Beganovic, who took over the coaching job from Sead Ramovic in November last year.

Ndamane has also caught the attention of Bafana Bafana head coach Hugo Broos, and the player was called up for the recent 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Lesotho and Benin. However, the left-footed centre-back was withdrawn from the squad due to passport issues.

After spending the previous campaign with the Chiefs DStv Diski Challenge [DDC] side, the KZN-born talent has spoken out on how he joined the Naturena-based side.

“I arrived at Chiefs in August 2023, and I was on trial. They took me, but I started playing in the Under-19 for Chiefs,” Ndamane told FARPost.

“So I played at U-19, in 2024, and I was promoted to the DDC in the middle of the season. I think they had played only nine games, then I played all the 21 remaining matches.”

A few months ago, Galaxy coach Beganovic hailed the qualities of Ndamane in an interview with FARPost, stating that he’s playing matches like an experienced 35-year-old who makes no mistakes.

The ex-Chiefs development player will be looking to maintain his form in the Premiership to help the Tim Sukazi-owned team finish the season as high as possible in the Betway Premiership
