In-form Galaxy striker eyes title-winning team for next move
Dzenan Zajmovic, the in-form TS Galaxy striker, has revealed his desire to join a title-contending team, signalling his ambition for a potential transfer.
Zajmovic has had an impressive start to life in the Betway Premiership after joining the Rockets ahead of the 2024/25 season. The 30-year-old signed with Galaxy on a free transfer after parting ways with Serbian side FK Radnik Surdulica.
In his first season with the Mpumalanga-based side, the talented forward has already made a name for himself with his clinical finishing. Zajmovic has scored 12 goals across all competitions for Galaxy and provided three assists in 22 appearances. His form has been crucial for Galaxy as they are fourth on the log standings with 35 points.
In the current season, TS Galaxy have won nine matches in the league, drawn eight, and lost seven in 24 matches with Zajmovic leading the attack.
After proving to be one of the top attackers in the PSL, Zajmovic says he would be enticed by a transfer move to a team that challenges for the league title.
WHAT DID ZAJMOVIC SAY ABOUT HIS IDEAL TRANSFER MOVE?
The Belgian-born striker praised club chairman Tim Sukazi for not hindering any player who wishes to move on to greener pastures.
“I think the chairman has proven a lot of times that he doesn’t stand in anyone’s way. You can see now with Samukelo Kabini’s move to Molde FK and Thato Khiba to Stellenbosch FC a few months ago,” Zajmović told FARPost.
“So he constantly pushes his players to get the best out of themselves. We also have to be honest with ourselves and the goals for TS Galaxy in terms of what we can achieve.
“Everybody wants to play for the title, and that’s the same case with me. I want to play for a title-winning team. So if I want to make a new big step, then it would have to be a club that plays for prizes.”
