Two Royal AM players have been snapped up by Richards Bay FC, with one departing for Sekhukhune United, FARPost has learnt.
Thwihli Thwahlaโs players are continuing to seek opportunities elsewhere amid the clubโs ongoing suspension in the PSL, while rivals are also taking advantage of the situation.
The Pietermatzburg-based side was last in action in December last year before their fixtures were suspended by the PSL in February this year. This decision by the league’s governing body followed the club being placed under curatorship after a preservation order was obtained by the South African Revenue Service [SARS] earlier this year.
SEKHUKHUNE AND RICHARDS BAY SEIZE PLAYERS FROM ROYAL AM
Adding to the growing list of players leaving the KZN side, defender Sbangani Zulu and attacking midfielder Mfundo Thikazi have also signed for Richards Bay.
Meanwhile, Sekhukhune have acquired the services of the defender Khulekani Shezi.

Mfundo Thikazi has been a long-term target for the Natal Rich Boyz, who have now moved swiftly to secure the attacking midfielder’s signature.
The Zululand-based side is hoping that defender Sbangani Zulu will provide a significant boost to their defence, strengthening the team as the season approaches its conclusion.
On the other hand, Shezi didn’t have to wait long for his Sekhukhune United debut, as he featured in their Nedbank Cup quarterfinal against Mamelodi Sundowns last Friday.ย
The defender was introduced in the 96th minute, replacing Keletso Makgalwa just before extra time began.
Royal AM have also lost Ayabulela Maxwele, Shadrack Kobedi, and Sabelo Sithole, who went on to sign with Golden Arrows.
Golden Arrows’ 2-1 Betway Premiership victory over Kaizer Chiefs in Durban at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday featured debuts for two of their three new signings.
Ayabulela Maxwele replaced Thokozani Lukhele at right-back in the 45th minute, and Shadrack Kobedi came on for Sazi Gumbi in the 73rd minute.
Sithole was the only new recruit not included in the matchday squad, with coach Manqoba Mngqithi explaining that the player needed rest after a demanding training period.
