‘I wish to play there’: Galaxy’s Ndamane eyes big move

TS Galaxy talented defender Khulumani Ndamane is eyeing a big transfer move, revealing where he would love to play his football next season.

The highly-rated centre-back has been dishing out some impressive performances since joining the Rockets at the start of the 2024/25 Betway Premiership season.

Ndamane penned a deal with Galaxy from the Kaizer Chiefs DStv Diski Challenge [DDC] side in a move to play top-flight football. In his breakthrough season in the Premiership, Ndamane has been one of the promising defenders with his ball-playing skills and defensive abilities.

The left-footed defender has played in 20 matches for Galaxy in the league, forming an integral part of the club’s recent form, which saw them climb to fourth place on the log standings. The Mpumalanga-based side has collected 35 points after winning nine league games, drawing eight, and losing seven times in 24 matches.

Meanwhile, the 21-year-old has also earned recognition from the Bafana Bafana coach, Hugo Broos, after being called up for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Lesotho and Benin. However, Ndamane was withdrawn from the squad due to problems with his passport.

The Chiefs’ development product has told FARPost that his dream is to move to one of the ‘big three’ clubs in SA football: Kaizer Chiefs, Orlando Pirates, and Mamelodi Sundowns.

“I think every player has a dream of seeing progress in their career, so for me, I wish that maybe at the end of the season I see myself playing for a bigger team because in our country we have the big three and I wish to play there,” Ndamane said.

Asked if he feels that he was given enough chance to showcase his talent with Amakhosi, the KZN-born star said he had to move to TS Galaxy for his personal growth.

“I wouldn’t say that I wasn’t given a chance at Chiefs. It’s just that when you play football, you need to challenge yourself and see what other things you can do so that you can get where you want to go.”
