Royal AM supporters speak out against PSL expulsion
A group calling themselves Royal AM national supporters has expressed their views on the club’s imminent expulsion from the PSL. The club is set to be kicked out when the PSL Board of Governors meets next Thursday.
This follows a recommendation by the PSL Exco following their meeting on Wednesday to cancel the membership of Royal AM.
Royal AM have had their matches postponed due to being placed under curatorship by the South African Revenue Service [SARS], who want to recover a debt of approximately R40 million associated with a family trust linked to businesswoman Shauwn Mkhize.
The club’s last match was on 29 December 2024 against TS Galaxy as they are at the bottom of the log standings.
In a letter published by well-known ‘Super fan’ Mama Joy, the supporters say they are optimistic about the club resurfacing in the future.
