Solomons’ recovery: The two elements that made a difference

Kaizer Chiefs right-back Dillan Solomons has pointed out the two elements that have helped him fully recover from his lengthy injury setback.
Solomons recently recovered from a hamstring injury that he sustained in Chiefs’ 2-2 draw with Royal AM during their Betway Premiership tie in November last year. This injury saw Solomons stay out on the sidelines for quite some time.
But the 26-year-old has fully recovered and played 90 minutes in the last two Chiefs matches, where the team suffered two straight losses in the Betway Premiership against Richards Bay FC [2-0] and Golden Arrows [2-1], respectively. Overall, Solomons has featured in nine games across all competitions for Amakhosi this campaign.
As a result, the club find itself in a situation where the supporters aren’t happy with the team’s performance amidst fears of missing out on the top 8.
Chiefs are currently placed eighth on the log standings with 29 points from 23 outings. They are just one point ahead of Chippa United, who are in position nine on the table.

THE TWO FACTORS THAT HELPED DILLAN SOLOMONS TO FULL STRENGTH
Solomons admitted that his path to recovery was challenging, noting that his resilient mindset and gaining some playing time post-injury aided him in achieving full recovery.
“Initially, it was physically tough coming back from injury,” said Solomons ahead of Amakhosi’s Betway Premiership encounter with TS Galaxy.
“But I am strong mentally, and that is getting me through to full strength. My recent game-time has also helped me get up to pace, so hopefully that will continue.”
Chiefs will host the Rockets on Saturday, 5 April, at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane. The game will start at 19:00.
