Richards Bay FC have extended Tshepo Mabua’s contract at the club while the latest on Justice Figareido’s future has emerged.
The duo is among a number of players whose contracts with the Natal Rich Boyz are set to expire at the end of the current season.
As the season nears its conclusion, like many teams, the KZN side has held discussions with some players regarding their future with the team.
TSHEPO MABUA SET TO REMAIN AT RICHARDS BAY
The left-back Mabua has extended his stay at Richards Bay according to FARPost sources with the club optimistic about the value he will continue to bring in the future.
The defender joined Richards Bay in September 2020 when the club was still competing in the Motsepe Foundation Championship. He arrived from the now-defunct Real Kings.
The signing was made under the guidance of then head coach Simo Dladla who had previously worked with the defender from their time together at Real Kings.

Mabua played an important role in Richards Bay’s promotion to the Betway Premiership [previously the DStv Premiership] in 2022. Since moving to the top-flight, he has made 81 appearances in all competitions, scoring two goals and registering three assists.
FIGAREIDO LOOKS SET TO CONTINUE WITH RICHARDS BAY
Meanwhile, it appears likely that Figareido will also be offered an extension, with his current contract coming to an end in June 2025.
He joined Richards Bay at the beginning of the 2023/24 season, arriving from the now-defunct All Stars. Since then, he has made 53 appearances across all competitions, scoring six goals and providing three assists.
Further, the Jomo Biyela-owned side recently strengthened its squad by signing defender Sbangani Zulu and attacking midfielder Mfundo Thikazi from Royal AM. They also released two defenders Siyabonga Dube and Romario Dlamini.
