Chippa coach September hints at losing key players in June window

Chippa United coach Thabo September has hinted at losing key players in the upcoming June transfer window, citing potentially irresistible offers.
The Chilli Boys are among the PSL clubs with a history of struggling to retain key players, having seen several squad members depart for other teams in the past.
They have a few players like Sinoxolo Kwayiba who’s said to have attracted interest from Gauteng clubs including Orlando Pirates, according to the reports.
Meanwhile, as per this website’s sources, Stanley Nwabali is still being monitored by clubs outside the country, even after committing to a new contract at the beginning of the season.
September admitted that Chippa United will let go of players they cannot retain for the upcoming season, with a focus on investing in young talent.

SEPTEMBER SPEAKS ON POTENTIALLY LOSING CRUCIAL PLAYERS IN JUNE TRANSFER WINDOW
“We will lose some, but there’s definitely the core we will keep,” said September in Hammarsdale most recently. “It’s football, when you want to make your team better, then you sell your better players and invest in younger players and try to be stable.”
However, he also stated the club’s intention to keep certain squad members to ensure a strong rebuild.
“But you will lose a few and rebuild in the positions that we’ll lose, but the bunch of players, we’ll keep,” he continued.
Furthermore, a number of players at the Eastern Cape-based side are nearing the end of their contracts, which expire at the end of the current season.
This includes utility player Craig Martin, striker Bienvenu Eva Nga, and winger Aphelele Teto, who is on loan from Livingston FC.
The Chilli Boys, who are aiming for a top eight spot, are currently sitting in position nine in the league standings with 29 points from 22 matches.
