Chiefs sweating on fitness of two key players for Sundowns showdown

Kaizer Chiefs are sweating on the fitness of two key players for their Nedbank Cup semi-final clash with Mamelodi Sundowns this Sunday.
The Soweto giants are preparing for their Nedbank Cup semi-final clash with Sundowns on Sunday. The match is scheduled for Loftus Stadium at 18h30 and Amakhosi might play without the services of Inacio Miguel and Thabo Cele.
Cele missed the 1-1 draw against TS Galaxy last weekend after picking up an injury during the Betway Premiership encounter against Golden Arrows. Chiefs lost that match 2-1.
Adding to their woes, Miguel had to be withdrawn in the second half of the clash against Galaxy. Interestingly, just seconds after Edmilson Dove replaced him, The Rockets scored their equaliser.
The Angolan defender, Miguel, has been an ever-present in the Chiefs defence, having joined the club at the start of the season. He has started 26 matches under Nabi this season.

Cele, on the other hand, is fast establishing himself as a vital cog in Nabi’s midfield and was a standout player in the league match that ended 1-0 in favour of Sundowns. He has played 10 matches since joining the club during the January transfer window, putting in several Man of the Match performances.
Nabi will be hoping both players are available as they look to progress to the Nedbank final. Chiefs have not won a trophy in almost a decade and are looking to end the trophy drought.
WHAT NABI SAID ABOUT MIGUEL & CELE
“For Miguel and Thabo Cele … I will answer after. It’s open,” said Nabi. Should Cele not be available, Nabi will look to Yusuf Maart and Nkosingiphile Ngcobo at the base of midfield.
In defence, Given Msimango could partner Zitha Kwinika, while Edmilson Dove plays left-back. Meanwhile, Chiefs got a boost with Wandile Duba and Tashreeq Morris returning from injury. Duba was on target in the 1-1 draw against Galaxy. Morris made a second-half substitute appearance.
