Chiefs players receive inspiring message from Nabi

Kaizer Chiefs coach Nasreddine Nabi has delivered an inspiring message to his players after they secured their place in the Nedbank Cup final. The Soweto giants have not tasted cup glory in almost 10 years.
On Sunday, they gallantly came from behind to beat Mamelodi Sundowns in the Nedbank Cup semi-final at the Loftus Stadium on Sunday evening. Amakhosi beat Masandawana 2-1 after Wandile Duba cancelled Teboho Mokoena’s first-half strike. Ashley Du Preez sealed the victory in the 88th minute.
The win set up a clash with arch-rivals Orlando Pirates in the final set for 10 May at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban. Nabi has had a difficult first season at the Soweto giants. The Nedbank final provides the silver lining for the club that is nearing a decade without a trophy.
WHAT’S NABI’S MESSAGE TO CHIEFS PLAYERS AND FANS
The Tunisian mentor posted on his Instagram page, congratulating the team and expressing his appreciation for their efforts. In the lead-up to the match, Nabi informed the media that the atmosphere within the club was remarkably positive.

“We all know this season has been a tough one. That’s why today, my pride in this team, our phenomenal fanbase, the management, and the board is even greater,” said Nabi.
“Most importantly, to my incredible players – on Sunday, you showed immense character, resilience, and dedication against one of Africa’s best teams. You have faced criticism head-on and applied yourselves with such professionalism and heart. The sacrifices you have made, some playing through pain, do not go unnoticed. You deserve all the credit for Sunday’s victory!
“This is a significant moment. We will continue to give absolutely everything for this beloved club in the remaining games of the season. InchAllah 💛🖤. #Amakhosi4Life.”
Meanwhile, Chiefs turn their focus to the league where they play Chippa United in Gqeberha on Saturday.
Currently placed eighth on the table, Amakhosi will be eager to finish the season strong in the last six games. They have won one game out of the last five Betway Premiership encounters. Two have ended in draws while the other two were losses.
