Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Fiacre Ntwari has garnered interest from a French second-division club. The Rwandan international has recently seen limited playing time and is reportedly eager for more opportunities to play.

After joining Amakhosi in July 2024 on a four-year contract, Ntwari quickly became a regular player under coach Nasreddine Nabi. However, during Rwanda’s 2025 AFCON qualifiers, an injury sidelined him, causing a drop down the pecking order. He now finds himself behind Bruce Bvuma in the club’s goalkeeping ranks.

Despite his limited game time at club level, Ntwari continues to play a key role for the Rwandan national team and has featured prominently in the recent FIFA World Cup qualifiers. His consistent performances on the international stage have reportedly attracted interest from the French side.

With the transfer window approaching, it remains to be seen whether Chiefs will consider releasing the 25-year-old.

LIGUE 2 INTEREST IN FIACRE NTWARI CONFIRMED

Rwanda national team coach Adel Amrouche revealed that after the March FIFA World Cup qualifiers, there was an enquiry about his availability. The former TS Galaxy goalie was in goals when Amavubi lost 2-0 to Nigeria and played a 1-1 draw against Lesotho.

“There is a second division club from France; they also asked me about him,” Amrouche told FARPost. The Algerian mentor believes Ntwari is at the right club and will “improve a lot” under Chiefs’ coaches.

However, he is eager to see him get as much game time as possible. “I trust the coaches at Chiefs, and I hope between now and June, he’s going to get his chance to play again because we need him for the rest of the qualifiers.”

Amrouche hailed the former APR shot-stopper for his performances for the national team. “He was good. I thought the lack of game time would affect him, but he was good. You can see his teammates trust him, and I also trust him. I have a lot of confidence in him because of his qualities. He’s also an incredible person to work with. He’s a hard worker, and the players love him.  People love him in Rwanda.”
