Stellenbosch FC goalkeeper Oscarine Masuluke has made a bold statement on what Simba SC should expect in South Africa following their loss in the CAF Confederation Cup semi-final on Sunday.
The Betway Premiership side suffered a 1-0 defeat in the first-leg played at the Amaan Stadium in Zanzibar.
Simba scored the goal under controversial circumstances after what looked like an offside. Despite a Video Assistant Referee [VAR] review, Congolese referee Jean Jacques Ndala Ngambo allowed the goal to stand.
“The game was good, but unfortunately, we lost. But we still have a chance when they come to our home,” Masuluke told reporters after the match.
OSCARINE MASULUKE PROMISES TO GIVE A FIGHT AGAINST SIMBA SC IN THE SECOND LEG
‘Both teams attacked each other, so for me, there was no best team because it was Lion against Lion.
“It will be a Lion against a Lion, and the other Lion is coming to our home to get another Lion there waiting for them. Let’s wait for Sunday, you guys will see.”

However, Masuluke was hesitant to comment on the controversial goal he conceded against Simba. “I don’t have a comment. It’s a referee decision, so I have nothing to say about the goal,” said Masuluke.
STELLENBOSCH FC TAKE THE SECOND LEG TO MOSES MABHIDA STADIUM IN DURBAN
Stellenbosch and Simba will now meet at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban for the second-leg fixture on Sunday, 27 April.
The game will be played away from Stellies’ traditional home at Danie Craven Stadium due to the venue not meeting CAF’s eligibility requirements. The Cape Town Stadium is also unavailable due to the conflicting rugby fixture between the Stormers and Benetton.
Moses Mabhida Stadium is not an unfamiliar territory for Stellies as they previously hosted Nsingizini Hotspurs and RS Berkane in previous stages of the Confed Cup.
