Cape Town Spurs hammered Pretoria Callies to move out of the relegation zone in the Motsepe Foundation Championship, while AmaTuks defeated Casric Stars 2-1.
The Urban Warriors claimed an impressive 4-0 victory over Callies at Athlone Stadium on Tuesday afternoon. The win over the Pretoria-based side moved CT Spurs to 13th place on the league table.
In 26 matches played, CT Spurs collected 28 points after winning six league matches, drawing 10, while suffering 10 defeats. On the other hand, Callies fell into the 15th spot on the Championship table after suffering a heavy defeat against Spurs. The Moses Malada-owned team has accumulated 27 points in 25 matches.
Elsewhere, AmaTuks have collected maximum points after walking away with a 2-1 win over Casric Stars at Tuks Stadium on Tuesday.
University of Pretoria prevented Casric from closing the gap on log-leaders Durban City FC as the fight for automatic promotion to the SA top-flight heats up.
CASRIC STARS ARE FOURTH ON THE LEAGUE TABLE
Stars are fourth on the table with 40 points after 26 matches, and they are pushing to qualify for the PSL promotional/relegation playoffs.
