In a move to further strengthen their squad as the 2024/25 season draws to a close, Golden Arrows have completed the signings of two more players from Royal AM.

Abafana Besโ€™thende have already made a couple of signings from Thwihli Thwahla after the latter’s PSL status was terminated by a vote from the PSL Board of Governors.

Most of those players have already featured for the Durban-based side in its recent Betway Premiership matches.

According to FARPost sources, Arrows have now signed the defender Ayanda Jiyane and goalkeeper Xolani Ngcobo, who were in the books of Shauwn Mkhizeโ€™s side.

The duo is understandably going to join Manqoba Mngqithiโ€™s troops in training soon as they have concluded deals with the KZN outfit.

Meanwhile, over the past weekend, Arrows surprisingly included midfielder Siphesihle Msomi in their team that faced AmaZulu FC in the KZN Derby in the league clash.

It appears the player had only begun training with Arrows at the start of the week and impressed the coaches enough to make the team on Saturday.

Thabo Matlaba, another recent signing for Arrows from Royal AM, also got a run in the match against AmaZulu, coming on in the first-half for the injured Brandon Theron.

Other players who signed for Arrows from Royal AM are Philani Sithebe, Shadrack Kobedi, Sabelo Sithole, and Ayabulela Maxwele.

MNGQITHI HAPPY WITH NEW PLAYERSโ€™ CONTRIBUTIONS

โ€œIโ€™m happy with the contributions of the players that we got late in the season. I must say that. I think they are contributing fairly well in what we are trying to do,โ€ said Mngqithi.

โ€œThe impact and contribution of all the players who have not been playing regularly, even within the club, is looking good.โ€

Among other Royal AM players who have moved to new clubs are Khulekani Shezi, who joined Sekhukhune United, and Sbangani Zulu and Mfundo Thikazi, who both signed for Richards Bay FC.
