Sekhukhune United coach Eric Tinkler has highlighted his areas of concern with the team, even after their victory against Soweto giants Orlando Pirates.
Babina Noko emerged victorious with a 1-0 scoreline against the Buccaneers in the Betway Premiership match at Orlando Stadium on Wednesday night.
The Limpopo side dented the Sea Robbers’ hopes for the title as the latter was hoping to challenge Mamelodi Sundowns, who have stretched their lead at the top of the table to 12 points after defeating Richards Bay FC 3-0.
Despite securing the victory against his former club, Tinkler stated that his Sekhukhune troops did not play the “charming football” he desires, given his preferred style of play.
He is unhappy with how they lose possession, a weakness he hopes to improve next season.

WHAT TINKLER WANTS TO IMPROVE AT SEKHUKHUNE NEXT SEASON
“Tonight [Wednesday], we gave away a lot of possession, and against a team like Pirates, you can’t give them those opportunities. So, we need to be a lot better on the ball,” said Tinkler.
“I am a coach who likes to play an attractive game of football. I’m not a coach who likes to play one dimension and then go long. So, we need to be able to change our game, and I think right now, our possession is simply not good enough, our movement is not good enough.
“These are all aspects that need to be worked on. But it’s not the time of the season to be doing that because the games are coming thick and fast now.
“So, I think we just try and keep to the basics and then for next season, I want to try and implement a little more of my game model and system and understanding of how I want the team to play and look more attractive than what we did against Pirates.”
